2017 Lodge Executive Committee
Bryce Hanson is a Star Scout from Troop 73 in Novato. He is a Brotherhood Member and was inducted into the Order in the fall of 2014. His favorite flavor of ice cream is Lemon Sorbet and he is a huge fan of the movie Inception - in his own words, "it's so darn cool!" He hopes to bring the monthly meetings to a whole new level of fun and coordination!
Kenn Moynihan is exited to be serving as the Lodge Adviser at the turn of our Order's second century. He has been involved in scouting since his youth and has served an assistant scoutmaster in Troop 38. He is a recipient of the Chief's Award, Arrowmen of the Year Award, Founders Award, and Council Silver Acorn Award; this past December he was called out for the Vigil Honor. He hopes to see positive growth in the lodge this year, as well as an improvement in the lodge programs.
Ryan Moynihan is a Life Scout from Troop 38 and is a Brotherhood member of the lodge; he was inducted in 2011. He is also a recipient of the Chief's Award. He is undecided on his favorite movie, it would be a tie between My Neighbor Totoro or The Iron Giant; he also loves chocolate chip ice cream. As Vice Chief of Program, he intends to put on great events for the lodge!
Mark Otavka is an Assistant Scoutmaster from Troop 59, Greenbrae. He was inducted in 2011 and has been an active member of the dance team ever since. He hopes to grow the dance team this year and provide many opportunities for others to join. He is a 2013 recipient of the Chief's Award and was selected as the adult Arrowman of the Year for 2014.
Zac Farnkopf is a Life Scout from Troop 59 in Greenbrae. He is a Brotherhood member and was inducted in 2013. Zac fancies himself more as a vanilla ice cream person than chocolate, and loves to have a bowl while watching his favorite movie, The Usual Suspects. He hopes to make the ordeals run smoothly this upcoming year by implementing some of his new ideas on how to improve them.
Ned Farnkopf is currently the Scoutmaster for Troop 59 and was inducted into the OA in the spring of 2014. He is a Brotherhood member and has also received the Chief's Award and the council's Silver Acorn Award. He loves vanilla ice cream and the movie Blazing Saddles. In 2016 he wants to redo the ceremony site in order to make the ceremonies more special.
Mike Fretz is a Life Scout from Troop 79 and was inducted into the Order in the spring of 2014; he is a Brotherhood member. He really likes lime sherbet ice cream and claims "there is no better movie on this planet" than the Princess Bride. His goal is to bring the lodge store to every meeting, increase our sales, and keep a good, solid budget! If you don't pay your dues, Mike will come knocking at your door!
Matt Swalberg has been an active scouter for many years. He earned the Eagle Rank in 1979 from Troop 15, San Anselmo. He was inducted into the Order in 1977 and has been an active associate lodge adviser since 2010. He is a Brotherhood Honor member and a 2011 recipient of the Chief's Award. His passions include hiking and backpacking, motorcycling, and watching the Clint Eastwood classics. His favorite flavor of ice cream is rocky road and is looking forward to the Order's second century of service!
Joe Rozell is a Star scout from Troop 73 in Novato. He was inducted into the Order in 2014 and is excited to serve as the secretary this year; he is a Brotherhood member. As secretary he hopes to bring back the quarterly lodge newsletter, The High Eagle, to newer and greater heights! He loves vanilla ice cream and is a huge fan of Finding Nemo!
Mischell Tong has been an active adult leader in scouting since 1998. She was inducted into the OA in 2008 and received the Vigil Honor in 2014; this will be her sixth her as the adviser to the secretary. She is a recipient of the Chief's Award, Arrowmen of the Year Award, Founders Award, Council District Award of Merit, and was presented with the Silver Beaver in 2015. She has dedicated her life to serving youth; outside of scouting she serves as a Special Education Paraeducator.
Dylan Moynihan is a Brotherhood member of the lodge and served as the 2015 Centennial Lodge Chief. He is an Eagle Scout from Troop 38 and was their Scout of the Year for 2014. His favorite ice cream flavor is Rainbow Sherbet and he is also a huge fan of the Usual Suspects. As the Immediate Past Lodge Chief, he hopes to work with Bryce and Mr. Moynihan in what capacity they may need. He hopes to see the lodge grow in 2016.
Michael Dybeck is an Eagle Scout who has served for many years, with distinction, as the Scout Executive for the Marin Council. He is a Vigil Honor member and was inducted into the Order in 1983. In addition to his role as Scout Executive for Marin and Lodge Staff Adviser for Talako, he also serves as the Section Staff Adviser. His favorite movie is Miller's Crossing and he is a huge fan of chocolate peanut butter ice cream. He hopes to see positive increase in the ordeal participation for this year.
